The Economic Development Committee's primary purpose is to engage in programming that will teach our children and members of the community best practices on how to handle money and basic financial principles. Topics that will be covered include the following:
Budgeting
Debt Management
Checking and Savings Accounts
Financial Products
How to Purchase a Home
Insurance Products
Investment Strategies
Retirement Strategies
We are currently in discussion with other non-profit organizations in the Columbus metropolitan area to evaluate existing programs that are benefitting the community. Once we have completed our assessment, we will identify an Economic Development strategic partner and participate in the presentation of the curriculum. The 100 firmly believes in partnering with organizations that are "Best in Class."
